BYLAWS OF United Christian Association
ARTICLEI — NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1 — Name: The name of the association shall be United Christian Association It shall be a nonprofit Unincorporated Association under the laws of the State of Michigan.
Section 2 — Purpose: United Christian Association is exclusively for charitable an Religous purposes.
The purpose of this Association is:
To support Families an Public Needs, and informational activities to increase public awareness Of our Lord an Savior Jesus Christ and · to prevent community deterioration.
ARTICLEII — MEMBERSHIP
Section 1 — Eligibility for membership:Application for membership shall be open to any current Christian resident, property owner, business operator, or employee of the State of Michigan that supports the purpose statement in Article I, Section 2.Membership is granted after completion and receipt of a membership application and annual dues. All memberships shall be granted upon aproval Of the President.
Section 2 — Annual dues:The amount required for annual dues shall be $100 each year, unless changed by a the President at an annual meeting. Continued membership is contingent upon being up-to-date on membership dues.
Section 3 — Rights of members:Each member shall Have there opinion Heard an Considered for Matters that concern the association.
Section 4 — Resignation and termination:Any member may resign by filing a written resignation with the Association. Resignation shall not relieve a member of unpaid dues, or other charges previously accrued. A member can have their membership terminated by a majority vote of the membership.
Section 5 — Non-voting membership:The president shall have the authority to establish and define non-voting categories of membership.
Members are of one class, with equal rights, unless otherwise stated in the articles and bylaws.
ARTICLEIII — MEETINGS OF MEMBERS
Section 1 — Regular meetings:Regular meetings of the members shall be held quarterly, at a time and place designated by the president.
Section 2 — Annual meetings:An annual meeting of the members shall take place in the month of October, the specific date, time and location of which will be designated by the chair. At the annual meeting the members shall Speak on the activities of the association, and determine the direction of the association for the coming year.
Section 3 — Special meetings:Special meetings may be called by the president In matters concerning the association in which members are asked to join in.
Section 4 — Notice of meetings:Printed notice of each meeting shall be given to each member, by mail, not less than two weeks prior to the meeting.
